Bay Area Ranchers’ Cooperative, with a pre-money valuation of $1 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company does responsible meat processing for ranchers by ranchers. It is establishing a meat-processing plant using a Mobile Harvest Unit approved by the USDA. Bay Area Ranchers’ Cooperative will process cattle, sheep, goats, and hogs for ranchers that are not well-served by larger harvest facilities. Duskie Estes founded Bay Area Ranchers’ Cooperative in July 2020. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum raise of $50,000 and a maximum raise of $1,070,000, will be used for purchasing equipment, infrastructure improvements, payroll, and consultants. Bay Area Ranchers’ Cooperative is a rancher-owned cooperative that is creating stability for the meat business.
