DNA ID, with a valuation cap of $4 million, is raising funds on MicroVentures. The DNA ID platform is a community marketplace for genomics research. The app allows people to monetize on their at-home genetic testings findings by sharing them with scientists. DNA ID allows DNA contributors to connect directly with medical researchers through blockchain technology. DNA ID was founded by Craig Calderone in October 2018 and started generating revenue in June 2019. The current round of crowdfunding has a minimum goal of $25,000 and a maximum goal of $107,000, and the funds will be used to hire more engineers, and sales and business development staff. DNA ID has already partnered with Cure Rare Diseases and Your DNA and has completed two successful pilot tests in 2019.
