Hoplite Power, with a valuation cap of $6 million, is raising funds on MicroVentures. The company is soon to launch a network of kiosks for smartphone charge-sharing and rentable battery packs. Users can rent a Hoplite from the Hoplite Hubs, recharge their smartphones, return the Hoplites, and pay using a credit card, debit card, Google Pay, and other modes. Hoplite Power was founded by Jordan Mayerson and Nikolas Schreiber and has raised more than $1 million since its founding. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum target of $25,000 and a maximum target of $107,000 and the proceeds will be used for marketing, research & development, manufacturing, repayment of debt, and general working capital. Hoplite Power had already launched its pilot program of 16 Hoplite Hubs in 2017 and earned $25,000 in revenue. It is all set to launch its program of five second-generation Hoplite Hubs in July 2019.
