Monetran, with a post-money valuation of $1.9 million, is raising funds on NetCapital. The company has combined cryptocurrency and blockchain technology to enable funds transfer and remittances, economically and faster. The system is expected to cost 70% less than traditional money transfers and reduce the delivery time from days to 3-5 seconds. Monetran was founded by Don Bielak in 2018. The current round of crowdfunding has a minimum raise of $10,000 and a maximum raise of $250,000, and the proceeds will be used for marketing, the backing of Moneda tokens, maintenance of system, expansion of team, completion and upgradation of the app, and compensation for team members. Monetran has also developed an asset-backed and redeemable token, Moneda, to function as the medium of exchange.
