AwayZones

AwayZones, with a post-money valuation of $0.85 million, is raising funds on NetCapital. The platform connects consumers and businesses through certain common cultural traits. Consumers can use the AwayZones travel application to find places that cater to the specific beliefs, customs, and values that the users are looking for. AwayZones was founded by LaToya Johnson and launched its public BETA version in July 2019. The current round of crowdfunding has a minimum target of $10,000 and a maximum target of $107,000, and the funds will be used towards product development, sales & marketing, and business operations. The founder of AwayZones has been featured in Essence magazine, and the company has established strategic partnerships with many local organizations in Indiana.

Genius Juice

Genius Juice, with a $6 million valuation cap, is raising funds on WeFunder. The company makes and sells healthy coconut smoothies using both coconut water and coconut meat. The coconut smoothies of Genius Juice are rich, creamy, and healthy and are sold through top retailers, including Safeway, Publix, and Whole Foods. Genius Juice was founded by Alex Bayer and was launched in Whole Foods in 2015. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum goal of $50,000 and a maximum goal of $1,070,000, will be used for production and inventory, sales and marketing, and working capital and administration expenses. Genius Juice was recently featured on Shark Tank and has received massive exposure and an increase in online sales since then. The company reported a three-times increase in annual revenue from 2018 to 2019, with more than 116% year-over-year per store growth.

DreamVentures Women and Minority Developers

DreamVentures Women and Minority Developers is raising crowdfunding on Buy The Block, LLC. The company helps women and minority developers to gain access to capital through equity crowdfunding. It partners with dedicated and competent developers and connects them to investors. The positive cash flow generated from the developed properties is then distributed to the investors. DreamVentures Women and Minority Developers was founded by John Whatley. The proceeds of the current round of crowdfunding, with a maximum raise of $1,070,000, will be used to invest in handpicked properties, including Garden Oaks Apartments, New Orleans, RYSE Creative Village, Atlanta, and Church & Washington, East Point. DreamVentures Women and Minority Developers targets returns of over 15% in a ten year period and charges an annual asset management fee of 3%.

Porky’s Bar & Grill

Porky’s Bar & Grill, the premier taphouse and bottle shop in Etna, is raising funds on Honeycomb Credit. The bar and grill serves local craft beers from across the country and delicious food. The chefs create a weekly menu and keep adding new brunch items, in addition to their specialty cocktails. Porky’s Bar & Grill was founded in 1895 and, after several events and changes in ownership, is currently owned by Chad Jockel and Nick Weiss. The current round of crowdfunding has a minimum target of $10,000 and a maximum target of $107,000, and the funds will be used to consolidate debt, make external and internal improvements, and expand the business. Porky’s Bar & Grill has been serving the Etna community for 124 years, with loyal customers and experienced staff. The bar and grill offers 28 taps and many craft beers that are not available anywhere else in Pennsylvania.

Acciyo

Acciyo, with a $3 million valuation cap, is raising funds on Republic. The company provides an AI-enabled desktop extension to put news articles in context. The artificial intelligence technology helps users to understand the history behind a news topic and assimilate difficult and time-consuming news. Acciyo populates the previous chapters of a news story when users are reading the current article. Acciyo was founded by Anum Hussain and Vivian Diep in January 2018 and has raised over $300,000 since its inception. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum raise of $25,000 and a maximum raise of $107,000, and the proceeds will be used to expand the full product suite and to increase the number of desktop readers. Acciyo already has over 200 private beta users, with the public beta expected to launch in the first quarter of 2020.

Amplified Ale Works

Amplified Ale Works, with a pre-money valuation of $11.1 million, is raising funds on WeFunder. Amplified Ale Works is an award-winning brewery that supports musicians through live shows and collaborations. The brewery offers award-winning beer, delicious food, and a friendly environment and intimate music venues. It has two Amplified Kitchen + Beer Garden locations in Pacific Beach and East Village. Amplified Ale Works was founded by Alex Pierson in 2011 and has raised over $1 million since its founding. The proceeds of the current round of crowdfunding, with a minimum target of $300,001 and a maximum target of $1,069,999, will be used towards the down payment for a new property and brewing equipment. Amplified Ale Works has demonstrated seven years of revenue growth, with $3.7 million in revenues in 2019. It has collaborations with more than 12 bands and has a rotating house beers offering of over 20 beers.

Elite Amateur Fight League

Elite Amateur Fight League, with a pre-money valuation of $5 million, is raising funds on WeFunder. The league is filling a gap in the MMA industry by being America’s first fan-owned sports league. Elite Amateur Fight League has promoted more than 150 amateur MMA fighters and has established 12 teams in 11 states. The league was founded by Jesse Nunez in 2014 and has raised over $100,000 in previous rounds of equity fundraising. The current round of crowdfunding has a minimum goal of $50,000 and a maximum goal of $500,000, and the funds will be used towards hiring a marketing conductor, business development, and event operations and production. Elite Amateur Fight League features the top amateur MMA fighters in televised national tournaments and reported a 975% growth in revenues from 2018 to 2019.

SinuSave

SinuSave, a drug-free nasal congestion solution, is raising funds on Razitall. It is the only patented all-natural solution for a daily nasal wash to keep the sinuses clean. Sinusave is safe for all age groups above three and is saline-free. It can be marketed over-the-counter in pharmacies, health stores, supermarket pharmacies, wellness product catalogs, and online. Sinusave was founded by Paul A. Lobel, with decades of experience in sales and marketing and research & development. The current crowdfunding round has a target raise of $537,000, and the proceeds will be used for advertising, payment of salaries, expansion of product catalog, and beefing up of point of sales assets at independent health stores. Sinusave formulations have been in production since March 2018, and they are manufactured in an FDA-certified facility.
