Marina’s Cuisine is owned by Marina Gibbs Olanipekun and her daughter Ursula Gaymes, natives from Trinidad. eBumps

eBumps, with a post-money valuation of $21.06 million, is raising crowdfunding on NetCapital. The company has created a new advertising practice with 21-inch LCD screens attached to the passenger side door of vehicles. The eBumps solution is taking outdoor advertising to the next level with moving digital billboards, targeted advertising, and personal monetization beyond social media. Jonah Tuckman founded eBumps in January 2020 and has raised more than $500,000 since the inception. LEAH Labs

LEAH Labs, with a valuation cap of $12 million, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company is developing CAR-T cell therapy to treat cancer in dogs. LEAH Labs has patented technology that uses CRISPR to harness and reprogram T-cells that find and kill cancer cells in dogs. LEAH Labs was founded by an experienced team, including Stephen Carl Ekker, Jonathan Mochel and Saad Kenderian, in 2018. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum raise of $100,000 and a maximum raise of $535,000, and the funds will be used towards pilot efficacy studies and hiring and maintaining talent. LEAH Labs is backed by Y Combinator and is led by Ph.D. experts in gene editing, cell therapy, and veterinary oncology. The company has already built its MVP and is testing its safety right now.

 

Immersed

Immersed, with a $60 million pre-money valuation, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The technology of Immersed allows users to work together, even while working remotely. It allows users to collaborate, whiteboard, and pair-program, just like working together in-person. Immersed was founded by Renji Bijoy in 2017. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum target of $249,997 and a maximum target of $5,000,000, will be used for tech infrastructure costs, equipment, hiring, travel and conferences, and legal and operating costs. Immersed has partnered with Facebook to launch to millions of Oculus users in the next few weeks. The technology is highly advanced and allows co-workers to teleport to each other’s virtual offices to collaborate.

 

National Energy Improvement Fund

National Energy Improvement Fund, a lender for energy improvements, is raising crowdfunding on Raise Green. The company offers loans to people of all income levels to reduce carbon emissions and energy costs. The NEIF loans are used for heating, cooling, roofing, insulation, and other energy and resilience measures. Peter J. Krajsa and Matthew H. Brown founded National Energy Improvement Fund in 2017. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum goal of $10,000 and a maximum goal of $250,000, and the funds will be used for growth and expansion. National Energy Improvement Fund has already financed more than 5,000 energy and resilience projects. It is led by an experienced team of energy financing innovators responsible for more than $800 million in financing.

 

BlocPower Energy Services

BlocPower Energy Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BlocPower, is raising funds on Raise Green. The company owns and operates energy projects installed in client buildings under the BlocPower pipeline. Donnel A. Baird founded BlocPower Energy Services in January 2021. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding raise, with a minimum target of $25,000 and a maximum target of $1,000,000, will be used to fund energy efficiency or renewable energy projects. BlocPower Energy Services has already earmarked ten individual projects in New York and California. The project installations will include LED lights, insulation and air sealing, window replacement, combined heat and power, battery storage, and low flow fixtures and water-saving measures.

 

Mountain West Cider

Mountain West Cider, with a pre-money valuation of $6.5 million, is raising crowdfunding on StartEngine. The cidery makes award-winning hard apple cider using the finest ingredients. The ciders of Mountain West Cider are produced on a small scale and are unique. Jeffrey C. Carleton founded Mountain West Cider in 2014. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum target of $10,000 and a maximum target of $1,070,000. The raise proceeds will target increased distribution, revenue growth, and the addition of new ciders. Mountain West Cider is the most purchased craft cider in Utah and has been voted SLC City Weekly Utah’s Best Cider for five consecutive years.

 

From Scratch

From Scratch, an Italian restaurant in New Jersey, is raising funds on Honeycomb. Claudia Rovegno and Roberto Santagati founded From Scratch in 2016.
