Marina’s Cuisine

Marina’s Cuisine, an upcoming food truck in Dorchester, MA, is raising funds on MainVest. The company plans to start a Trinidadian food truck to increase the accessibility of Trinidadian food to the community. Marina’s Cuisine is owned by Marina Gibbs Olanipekun and her daughter Ursula Gaymes, natives from Trinidad. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $14,000 and a maximum target of $15,000. The raise proceeds will be used towards truck redesign, water tank & sink installation, sound system & installation, branding materials, permits, marketing and advertising, and a portable generator. Marina’s Cuisine is owned by an experienced team with experience in serving their food in the Caribbean Carnival.

 

eBumps

eBumps, with a post-money valuation of $21.06 million, is raising crowdfunding on NetCapital. The company has created a new advertising practice with 21-inch LCD screens attached to the passenger side door of vehicles. The eBumps solution is taking outdoor advertising to the next level with moving digital billboards, targeted advertising, and personal monetization beyond social media. Jonah Tuckman founded eBumps in January 2020 and has raised more than $500,000 since the inception. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum raise of $10,009.20 and a maximum raise of $1,069,981.20, will be used for manufacturing LCD screens, sales and marketing, and labor costs. eBumps already has five LCD screens displayed in Times Square NYC and is deploying 20 additional screens to drivers around NYC.

 

LEAH Labs

LEAH Labs, with a valuation cap of $12 million, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company is developing CAR-T cell therapy to treat cancer in dogs. LEAH Labs has patented technology that uses CRISPR to harness and reprogram T-cells that find and kill cancer cells in dogs. LEAH Labs was founded by an experienced team, including Stephen Carl Ekker, Jonathan Mochel and Saad Kenderian, in 2018. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum raise of $100,000 and a maximum raise of $535,000, and the funds will be used towards pilot efficacy studies and hiring and maintaining talent. LEAH Labs is backed by Y Combinator and is led by Ph.D. experts in gene editing, cell therapy, and veterinary oncology. The company has already built its MVP and is testing its safety right now.

 

Immersed

Immersed, with a $60 million pre-money valuation, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The technology of Immersed allows users to work together, even while working remotely. It allows users to collaborate, whiteboard, and pair-program, just like working together in-person. Immersed was founded by Renji Bijoy in 2017. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum target of $249,997 and a maximum target of $5,000,000, will be used for tech infrastructure costs, equipment, hiring, travel and conferences, and legal and operating costs. Immersed has partnered with Facebook to launch to millions of Oculus users in the next few weeks. The technology is highly advanced and allows co-workers to teleport to each other’s virtual offices to collaborate.

 

National Energy Improvement Fund

National Energy Improvement Fund, a lender for energy improvements, is raising crowdfunding on Raise Green. The company offers loans to people of all income levels to reduce carbon emissions and energy costs. The NEIF loans are used for heating, cooling, roofing, insulation, and other energy and resilience measures. Peter J. Krajsa and Matthew H. Brown founded National Energy Improvement Fund in 2017. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum goal of $10,000 and a maximum goal of $250,000, and the funds will be used for growth and expansion. National Energy Improvement Fund has already financed more than 5,000 energy and resilience projects. It is led by an experienced team of energy financing innovators responsible for more than $800 million in financing.

 

BlocPower Energy Services

BlocPower Energy Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BlocPower, is raising funds on Raise Green. The company owns and operates energy projects installed in client buildings under the BlocPower pipeline. Donnel A. Baird founded BlocPower Energy Services in January 2021. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding raise, with a minimum target of $25,000 and a maximum target of $1,000,000, will be used to fund energy efficiency or renewable energy projects. BlocPower Energy Services has already earmarked ten individual projects in New York and California. The project installations will include LED lights, insulation and air sealing, window replacement, combined heat and power, battery storage, and low flow fixtures and water-saving measures.

 

Mountain West Cider

Mountain West Cider, with a pre-money valuation of $6.5 million, is raising crowdfunding on StartEngine. The cidery makes award-winning hard apple cider using the finest ingredients. The ciders of Mountain West Cider are produced on a small scale and are unique. Jeffrey C. Carleton founded Mountain West Cider in 2014. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum target of $10,000 and a maximum target of $1,070,000. The raise proceeds will target increased distribution, revenue growth, and the addition of new ciders. Mountain West Cider is the most purchased craft cider in Utah and has been voted SLC City Weekly Utah’s Best Cider for five consecutive years.

 

From Scratch

From Scratch, an Italian restaurant in New Jersey, is raising funds on Honeycomb. The restaurant uses authentic, high-quality, and locally-sourced ingredients to serve its pizzas, pasta, pinsa romana, and bakery items. Claudia Rovegno and Roberto Santagati founded From Scratch in 2016. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum target of $15,000 and a maximum target of $50,000, will be used towards renovation, purchase of equipment, and marketing and advertising. From Scratch uses authentic Italian recipes and has a loyal base of customers. The business received Best Takeaway Food in Ridgewood Award in 2020, Best of Ridgewood Award in 2020, and Best of Ridgewood Award in 2016.

 

EPIC FAM

EPIC FAM, with a post-money valuation of $8.77 million, is testing the waters on NetCapital. The entertainment and media company is focused on providing opportunities to the local talent of Baltimore. The company will develop movies, television, and music projects and highlight Baltimore’s unique talent. Ezekiel Jackson founded EPIC FAM in January 2020. The current crowdfunding campaign of the company has a minimum target of $10,000 and a maximum target of $1,070,000. The raise proceeds will be used for recording and production, artists’ signing bonuses, marketing, office space and supplies, travel, entertainment, project development, and professional services. EPIC FAM plans to impact the region surrounding Baltimore with the fresh and unique talent of local artists.

 

Carlocity

Carlocity, with a $5 million valuation cap, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company has developed an anonymous car shopping platform that enables users to shop for cars without any discrimination. The car dealers receive anonymous deal requests and reply with deal sheets that buyers can accept or reject. Peter Difilippantonio founded Carlocity in June 2020. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum raise of $75,000 and a maximum raise of $250,000, will be used towards customer acquisition and retention, marketing, technology development, and support services. Carlocity platform is preferred by 47% over car shopping websites and by 72% over online-only dealers.

 

Lexria

Lexria, with a valuation cap of $12 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company aims to solve the student debt crisis through bankruptcy. The company combines automation and technology to reduce costs, expand the available market, and create more effective arguments. Rob Hunter founded Lexria in July 2019. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum goal of $50,000 and a maximum goal of $1,070,000. The funds will be used for marketing, paying lawyers to start student debt adversary proceedings, and SG&A expenses. Lexria is targeting the consumers owing more than $500 billion in student loan debt and is helping real people fight crushing debt.

 

Equo

Equo, with a $6 million valuation cap, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company makes eco-friendly alternatives for everyday use items, including disposable drinking straws and disposable cutlery. The products are made up of a variety of materials like grass, sugarcane, coconut, bamboo, and rice. Marina Tran-Vu founded Equo in January 2021. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding raise, with a minimum goal of $50,000 and a maximum goal of $1,000,000, will be used for inventory, sales staff, marketing, innovation, quality control, and operations. Equo offers mandatory products to the market after the global government bans on single-use plastic. The company and its products have also received several awards and people’s attention.

 

Airthium

Airthium, with a valuation cap of $17 million, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company has designed a long-duration battery that is cheaper than gas, coal, and nuclear. The battery of Airthium can store 100 times more energy at the same cost as it is powered by sun and wind. Andrei Klochko and Franck Lahaye founded Airthium in 2017. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum raise of $50,000 and a maximum raise of $1,070,000. The proceeds will be used towards payroll, equipment, contractors, lab and office space, and administrative expenses. Airthium is led by a team with two Ph.D.s and has raised more than $500,000 in its pre-seed round of financing.

 

Parknav

Parknav, with a valuation cap of $50 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company has developed an AI-powered technology to solve the parking challenges of modern cities. The solution is scalable and can be used for any street to identify available on-street parking in real-time. Eyal Amir founded Parknav in July 2009. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding campaign, with a minimum raise of $300,000 and a maximum raise of $1,070,000, will target debt repayment, sales, marketing, and product development. Parknav has partnered with companies like Microsoft Ventures Accelerator and Volkswagen PlugAndPlay and serves customers including BMW, Siemens, and Deutsche Telekom.

 

Elm Lea Renewable Energy

Elm Lea Renewable Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Solaris Investment Group, is raising funds on Raise Green. The company provides the Putney School in Vermont with clean energy using solar panel arrays. The solar project provides renewable energy to 28 buildings and has been functional over the past 4.5 years. Alexander Blackmer founded Elm Lea Renewable Energy in 2015. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum goal of $50,000 and a maximum goal of $250,000, and the funds will be used to refinance the existing solar array, financing, and legal and accounting expenses. Elm Lea Renewable Energy has a proven track record of providing clean energy and generating revenue for over four years. It has a 20-year contract with Putney for purchasing the energy generated from the project.

 

NanoVMs

NanoVMs, with a valuation cap of $20 million, is raising funds on StartEngine. The company is a unikernel platform that is building a new operating system to run Linux apps faster and safer. NanoVMs allows users to build, control, and run unikernels and prevent hackers from violating the data of organizations. NanoVMs was founded by Ian Eyberg in August 2015 and has raised more than $2.4 million since its founding. The current round of crowdfunding for the company has a minimum goal of $10,000 and a maximum goal of $4,031,600, and the funds will be used to scale the business and grow the sales team and team of kernel engineers. NanoVMs has received initial revenue from the Air Force and has done paid trials with companies like Amgen. The company is building a new patented operating system to revolutionize the operating system architecture.

 

DeoBioSciences

DeoBioSciences, with a post-money valuation of $16.67 million, is testing the waters on NetCapital. The company is developing treatment against metastatic cancer in pets and people. The cancer drug will be based on a naturally-occurring compound that can kill both early and advanced-stage cancer cells. John F. Adamson founded DeoBioSciences in 2000. BEAU Eatery, an upcoming restaurant in Miami, FL, is raising funds on MainVest. The restaurant will serve delicious, authentic, and high-quality Southern cooking to the diverse cultural community of Miami. The fresh food will be priced moderately and served in a casual atmosphere. Ileana Acosta and Vincent Walton founded BEAU Eatery in January 2021. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum goal of $50,000 and a maximum goal of $100,000, will target space buildout and launch of the new restaurant. BEAU Eatery will source all its ingredients locally and cater to the increasing demand for healthy and good-tasting food.

 

Arterial Coffee

Arterial Coffee, an upcoming coffee shop in Philadelphia, PA, is raising crowdfunding on MainVest. The coffee shop will be located in a 1,664 square feet space with panoramic views and extensive natural lighting. Sharaine Brown and Sharla Brown founded Arterial Coffee in 2019. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum target of $30,000 and a maximum target of $80,000. The raise proceeds will be used towards space buildout, equipment purchases, and operating capital. Arterial Coffee will serve delectable coffee from its beautiful location. The space is located close to the University of Pennsylvania, Wexford Science Center, and Penn Medical Center and is designed to host about 30 guests comfortably.

 

SimpleShowing

SimpleShowing, with a valuation cap of $16 million, is raising crowdfunding on Republic. SimpleShowing is an innovative and new way to tour and buy a home. The home buyers initiate showings according to their convenience, without paying any cost for the tour. They are also entitled to a share in the commission equalling 1.5% of the home price. SimpleShowing is real-estate for the modern world. The company was founded by Fred McGill and Jeremy Gamble in January 2018 and has raised more than $1.6 million in previous rounds of funding. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum target of $25,000 and a maximum target of $1,070,000. SimpleShowing already has monthly revenue of $100,000, with a 140% user growth and 41% compound annual revenue growth since 2018.

 

Power Poll

Power Poll, with a valuation cap of $3.5 million, is raising crowdfunding on SeedInvest. The company has developed a civic engagement platform that takes surveys from some of the most important people in the country. The results of the survey are used to decide a path forward for the nation and bring about a constructive change. Bruce Dobie founded Power Poll in 2014. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum raise of $25,000 and a maximum raise of $500,000, will be used for sales and business development, technology, editorial, market correspondents, and accounting expenses. Power Poll is active in 19 cities in the US with an email list of more than 10,000 influential citizens. The revenue of the company grew by 82% to $228,000 in 2020.

 

EnGen Bio

EnGen Bio, with a pre-money valuation of $8 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company is developing a vaccine with the potential ability to provide lifetime immunity against all Type A strains of flu. The vaccine will contain human-engineered, long half-life, monoclonal antibodies to target the Type A, M1 protein epitope. Dr. Mark Alfenito founded EnGen Bio in 2016. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum target of $250,000 and a maximum target of $1,070,000, will be used for research and development, operations and salary, and legal expenses. EnGen Bio’s vaccine has the potential to save 50,000 to 250,000 lives a year and prevent a lot of suffering. The vaccine is expected to be potent against all swine, avian, equine, and canine influenza and pandemics.

 

Ichor

Ichor, with a pre-money valuation of $90.9 million, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company is developing injectors to drive up diesel fuel economy to 30% and decrease emissions by 90%. The solution has the potential to combat climate change and reduce emissions. Trevor Bates founded Ichor in 2018. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum target of $1,000,000 and a maximum target of $1,070,000. The funds will be used for social media marketing, payroll taxes and benefits, office expenses, hardware engineering, software engineering, and license fees. Ichor is a Geneva award winner and has patents filed in more than 25 countries.

 

Bizfluence

The platform allows companies to network, share, and do business together to recruit, engage, and meet. Jacob Davis founded Bizfluence in August 2020. Bizfluence currently has 6,000 users and 20,000 posts in its beta version. The platform provides tools to small and medium business professionals to do their business seamlessly.

 

Oxford Hounds

Oxford Hounds, with a pre-money valuation of $4.5 million, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company makes 100% Italian handcrafted men’s luxury apparel and accessories. The products of Oxford Hounds do not sell in stores and work on the direct-to-customer model only. James Tulin founded Oxford Hounds in January 2020. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum goal of $50,000 and a maximum goal of $1,070,000. The funds will target inventory, marketing, working capital, and product development. Oxford Hounds offers superior value products known for their Italian material and craftsmanship. The company has a 70% margin with no middlemen to share the profits with.

 

Two’s Koa Warriors

Two’s Koa Warriors, a sci-fi film, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. It is a Hawaii time travel film where a couple of young locals find themselves on an adventure. festivalPass, with a pre-money valuation of $120 million, is raising crowdfunding on StartEngine. It is a live event subscription marketplace across music, film, food, and wine festivals. The platform allows festival-goers from around the world to join millions of other fans for a monthly fee. Edward Vincent founded festivalPass in 2019. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum raise of $9,999.36 and a maximum raise of $999,999.36. The funds will be used to scale up, increase the number of paying subscribers, increase the active member accounts, and expand to Europe, Asia, and Latin America. festivalPass works on a credit-based gross margin positive business model on every transaction, generating recurring revenue.

 

Ascent AeroSystems

Ascent AeroSystems, a technology company, is testing the waters on Republic. The company makes mission-critical, high-performance, and coaxial unmanned aerial systems that are specifically designed for harsh environments. The flagship product of Ascent AeroSystems, Spirit, has rugged flexibility, high efficiency, and top performance. Peter Fuchs and Jon Meringer founded Ascent AeroSystems in 2015. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum raise of $25,000 and a maximum raise of $1,070,000, will be used for company growth, R&D, marketing, business development, and other corporate operations. Ascent AeroSystems has delivered hundreds of products since 2015 and is now shipping its third-generation products. The products have a proven product-market fit with delighted customers.

 

Retro Meadery

Retro Meadery, an upcoming meadery in Burgaw, NC, is raising crowdfunding on MainVest. The company aims to make high-quality and flavorful mead using blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, apples, peaches, and other fruit. Michael Fields founded Retro Meadery in December 2020. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum raise of $80,000 and a maximum raise of $100,000, will be used for opening a location, purchasing equipment, and miscellaneous expenses. Retro Meadery also aims to give back to the community by providing a percentage of their sales to local apiaries.
