New Deals for the Week Ending 05/16/2021

Below are the latest equity crowdfunding raises begun this past week. For additional information, we encourage KingsCrowd members to click on the link provided for more details. Rollo Motion

Rollo Motion, with a pre-money valuation of $20.1 million, is testing the waters on SeedInvest. The company makes vehicles that form a smart fleet for autonomous, remote, or human end-to-end delivery solutions. The light-weight vehicles of Rollo Motion can be used in a variety of modes and help to fulfill local deliveries at low costs. Ryan McLean and Bill Gross founded Rollo Motion in September 2018. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum target of $25,000 and a maximum target of $1,070,000, will be used for research and development, sales and marketing, operations, and vehicles. Rollo Motion has already achieved in-market growth by increasing deliveries by 48% on average per month in Pasadena, CA. The Rollo Motion vehicles have delivered more than 5,000 orders with an average gross order value of $62.

 

StarWalker Industries

StarWalker Industries, with a $25 million valuation cap, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company runs a bottled water plant along with a paid bottle return recycling center. It sells bottled water and also helps the environment by recycling used water bottles. David Walker founded StarWalker Industries in 2014. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum goal of $100,000 and a maximum goal of $1,070,000. The raise proceeds will target marketing, advertising, trade shows, public relations, operations, real estate down payment, and architect engagement. StarWalker Industries produces 32 million 3-liter water bottles at a gross margin of 80 cents per bottle.

 

SoFusion Cafe

SoFusion Cafe, an American and Caribbean food restaurant in Baltimore, MD, is raising funds on MainVest. The restaurant sources 80% of its ingredients locally and offers delicious and high-quality food at an affordable price. It works on the 4-Point Feeling Impact Model related to feeling pleasure, comfort, first-class, and inspired. Denise Butts founded SoFusion Cafe in April 2020. The current round of crowdfunding has a minimum target of $10,000 and a maximum target of $30,000. The funds will be used to hire staff, help with day-to-day operations, and expand inventory. SoFusion Cafe specializes in exceptionally good and tasty food along with 21st-century amenities, including sports viewing, entertainment, music, and wifi.

 

Cherry Valley Organics

Cherry Valley Organics, an organic farm in Pennsylvania, is raising crowdfunding on Honeycomb. The farm produces diverse agricultural products, including herbs, cut flowers, vegetables, and potted plants. It supports organic growing, minimizing carbon footprints, and positive ecological impact. Jodi Danyo founded Cherry Valley Organics in 2001. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum target of $30,000 and a maximum target of $90,000, and the funds will be used towards an herb drying building, utility vehicle, and debt refinancing. Cherry Valley Organics is one of the oldest USDA-certified organic farms in Southwestern PA. It also turns its produce into products like herbal teas, herb-infused vinegars, and dried vegetables and herbs.

 

Simply Agave

Simply Agave, with a pre-money valuation of $18 million, is raising funds on StartEngine. The company makes and sells Lethal Mezcal, a smoky and smooth mezcal, in addition to its agave nectar Simply Agave. The business plans to place its Lethal Margarita, made with a combination of Lethal Mezcal and Simply Agave, in high-end restaurants across America. Sean Ryan founded Simply Agave in 2008. The current round of crowdfunding has a minimum raise of $9,950.50 and a maximum raise of $1,069,982.55. The raise proceeds will target more partnerships and better expansion. Simply Agave is ready to disrupt the American cocktail industry and sweep cocktail connoisseurs off their feet.

 

Hylio

Hylio, with a pre-money valuation of $35 million, is raising crowdfunding on StartEngine. The company makes innovative drone systems to automate agricultural processes. The automated drones of Hylio can be used by farmers to apply crop treatments directly to affected areas and increase their yields. Arthur Erickson, Nikhil Dixit, Mike Oda, and Nicholas Nawratil founded Hylio in 2015. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum goal of $9,999.50 and a maximum goal of $1,069,995.50, will be used to accelerate the innovation rate and allow more producers to access the solution. Hylio has grown at the rate of 347% in year-over-year sales since 2019 and has customers across six countries.

 

Chasin’ Dreams Farm

Chasin’ Dreams Farm, with a $6 million valuation cap, is raising crowdfunding on Republic. The company makes healthy, corn-free, gluten-free, non-GMO, and clean label snacks. The snacks come in tiny sizes and three nostalgic flavors, including Cinnamon, Cocoa, and Sweet & Salty. Sydney Chasin founded Chasin’ Dreams Farm in 2018 and has raised more than $340,000 since the inception. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum goal of $25,000 and a maximum goal of $1,070,000, and the funds will be used to expand distribution, build the team, and fund marketing activities. Chasin’ Dreams Farm has distribution partnerships with the top natural products distributors with a strong gross margin of more than 50%.

 

Chisos

Chisos, with a valuation cap of $15 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company helps startups get access to capital with its innovative investment approach. It has introduced the Convertible Income Share Agreement as a combination of ISAs and SAFEs for founders to receive funding and for investors to benefit from a de-risked approach. William Stringer and Stephen Grinalds founded Chisos in October 2019. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum target of $250,000 and a maximum target of $1,070,000, will be used for marketing, development of SaaS/Marketplace platform features, and legal and accounting expenses. Chisos differs from traditional banks as it evaluates founders not based on their assets and financial history but future potential.

 

RealtyHive

RealtyHive, with a pre-money valuation of $12.5 million, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company has developed a platform to connect real estate buyers and sellers efficiently. The platform assists the buyers and sellers in property marketing, client branding and awareness, and cash backs for buyers and sellers through Cashifyd. Wade T Micoley and Mark Herman founded RealtyHive in April 2019. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum goal of $600,000 and a maximum goal of $3,000,000. The funds will be used for enhanced development of the Cashifyd app, marketing, development, and staff expansion. RealtyHive has generated $1.7 million in revenue in 2020 with an 85% adoption rate by consumers.

 

LimeLoop

LimeLoop, with a $7 million valuation cap, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company offers smart shipping and packaging solutions for e-commerce retailers to package and ship their products in a secure and environment-friendly way. Ashley Etling and Chantal Emmanuel founded LimeLoop in November 2018. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum target of $50,000 and a maximum target of $100,000, will be used for growth and expansion. LimeLoop has reported ten times growth since 2020 and has reported huge consumer demand. The business works on a subscription-based model at $2.50 per smart shipper per month.

 

The Hot Dog Box

The Hot Dog Box, a hot dog place in Chicago, IL, is raising crowdfunding on MainVest. The food joint serves a variety of hot dogs, including The Standard Style Hot Dog, The Bronzeville Bourbon Steak Dog, The Prairie Blues Steak Dog, and The Pickle Minion Filet Mignon Steak Dog. Bobby McAfee-Leason and his daughter Brooklyn founded The Hot Dog Box in July 2020. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum target of $20,000 and a maximum target of $100,000, will be used for opening the first brick-and-mortar location, expansion of catering services, working capital, and marketing. The Hot Dog Box aims to create a brand beyond just the food, with a strong emphasis on culture, family values, customer service, and food innovation.

 

Aruka Midway

Aruka Midway, a real estate project of O’Hare Developments, is raising funds on Small Change. The project is located in East Baltimore Midway, a federally designated opportunity zone. The company will purchase 23 vacant properties and rehabilitate them into 32 mixed-income units for rent or resale. Joanna Bartholomew founded Aruka Midway in April 2021. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum goal of $150,000 and a maximum goal of $1,600,000, and the funds will be used for the acquisition and development of the property. Aruka Midway aims to reuse two blocks of vacant buildings into affordable housing. The location in a qualified opportunity zone is an excellent opportunity for investors.

 

Hopp

Hopp, with a post-money valuation of $10.06 million, is testing the waters on NetCapital. The company has developed a social carpooling app that connects riders with drivers who have empty seats. Thus, the app serves as a road buddy finder that helps people save money and reduce their carbon footprint. Antoine Allain, Fabrice Allain, and Eve Mitchell founded Hopp in May 2019. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum goal of $10,000 and a maximum goal of $1,069,999. The proceeds will be used for marketing, payroll, accounting, and liability repayment. Hopp also serves as a social networking platform as it matches potential road buddies with similar interests and helps to network while traveling.

 

Skywide Real Estate

Skywide Real Estate International, a real estate investment and development company, is raising crowdfunding on Mr. Crowd. The company explores real-estate investment opportunities and works on property development, investment, and management. Skywide Real Estate International was founded by Jenna Anderson and Tianyuan Gu in June 2020. The current crowdfunding round of the company has a minimum target of $30,000 and a maximum target of $70,000, and the funds will be used to acquire a piece of land in Pine Tree Drive, Fairfax, VA. Skywide Real Estate plans to acquire, renovate, and resell the property in 9-to-13 months. The expected return from the property is 14.83%.

 

washbnb

washbnb, with a valuation cap of $5.5 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. The company offers laundry services to Airbnb hosts, enterprise providers, and boutique hotels. Additionally, the company also provides linen rental and logistics in its service, offering convenience and sustainability for the hospitality industry. Daniel Cruz, Brian Mandelin, and Cassondra Simpson founded washbnb in March 2021. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $50,000 and a maximum target of $750,000, and the funds will be used towards facilities and operations buildout, research and development, sales and marketing, and onboarding and salary for new hires. washbnb generated more than $24,000 in revenue in its first year of business during the global pandemic.

 

Kanda

Kanda, with a valuation cap of $12 million, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company has developed a platform for general contractors to offer buy now pay later services to their clients. The financing service of Kanda is available to all trades, can be set up within 24 hours, and has no minimum requirements. Phillip Daneshyar and Richard Fleeman founded Kanda in March 2021. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum raise of $50,000 and a maximum raise of $100,000, will be used towards existing paid marketing channels to acquire more customers and hiring for key positions. Kanda is growing 25% month-over-month with an MRR of $9,000. The business is catering to a huge market and has strong future potential.

DevRaj Patel founded Jivati in May 2020. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum raise of $50,000 and a maximum raise of $1,070,000, and the funds will be used for formulation, marketing, sales and distribution, and inventory. Jivati works on an efficient business model with multiple streams of revenue, including subscription model, e-commerce, and retail. Jivati, with its 100% plant-based products and a dynamic management team, is well placed to revolutionize the beverages industry.

 

Skyn by Chi

Skyn by Chi, a CBD-infused skincare company, is raising funds on Honeycomb. The company makes skincare products that help to renew natural beauty. The products of Skyn by Chi are vegan, cruelty-free, and made in the US. Chiquita Zachery founded Skyn by Chi in May 2020. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $30,000 and a maximum target of $40,000, and the funds will be used for inventory and marketing. Skyn by Chi’s best-selling products include its toner and Vitamin C serum. The company plans to open a storefront or spa within the next three years.

 

Hypnos Virtual

Hypnos Virtual, with a valuation cap of $8 million, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company has developed a multi-sensual immersive media experience for home audiences with its Scentscape. The device is engineered with neuroscience technology and creates a media-synced bio-aromatic scent-track to experience media. Michael Kaczkowski founded Hypnos Virtual in February 2021. SWITCH Maritime

SWITCH Maritime, with a valuation cap of $25 million, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company is launching the first zero-carbon ferry in the world with a hydrogen fuel cell. It will apply the clean energy principles to the maritime industry and will establish regulatory blueprints for hydrogen vessels. Pace Ralli founded SWITCH Maritime in March 2020. The business will offer training in baking, coffee service, screen printing, and other fundamentals of small businesses. Nick Bodor founded alt.cafe in April 2021. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum raise of $15,000 and a maximum raise of $107,000, will be used to acquire the lease and open the cafe. alt.cafe aims to serve the community with its youth-friendly cafe and performance space.

 

inBalance

inBalance, with a valuation cap of $15 million, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company has developed an intuitive interface to forecast electricity prices. The platform empowers electricity asset managers with its ability to address market volatility and demand for electricity. Thomas Marge, Rajan Troll, and Edwin Fennell founded inBalance in June 2020. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum target of $50,000 and a maximum target of $250,000. The funds will be used for employee and contractor compensation, corporate initiatives, and other expenses. inBalance has pilots with 15% of New England’s electricity generation and is working with industry leaders. The company aims to reach $100 million ARR in the next five years.

 

Unlo

Unlo, with a $5 million valuation cap, is raising crowdfunding on Wefunder. The company offers all-inclusive on-demand mobility subscription services. The users can use one app and one subscription to hire any vehicle they need, anywhere they need, and anytime they need. Cameron Robinson founded Unlo in May 2020. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum goal of $50,000 and a maximum goal of $500,000, will be used for social media marketing, app development and acquisition, vehicle leasing and acquisition, and monthly burn. Unlo has had more than 7,000 unique website visitors from 43 countries and generated revenue of more than $15,000.

 

Cherry Block Craft Butcher and Texas Kitchen

Cherry Block Craft Butcher and Texas Kitchen, an upcoming steakhouse in Houston, TX, is raising crowdfunding on NextSeed. The restaurant aims to break the prototypical steakhouse image and become truly local and approachable. The business will offer a unique experience to its customers by harvesting, butchering, cooking, and serving without any break in the supply chain. Felix Flores founded Cherry Block Craft Butcher and Texas Kitchen in January 2021. The current crowdfunding round has a minimum raise of $275,000 and a maximum raise of $400,000. The proceeds will be used for interior construction, furniture, furnishings, design and engineering, and working capital. Jet Token

Jet Token, a private aviation platform, is testing the waters on StartEngine through Reg A+ crowdfunding. It is a private jet booking and membership platform that can also be used to book a commercial airline ticket. Jet Token also plans to introduce blockchain technology into the private jet aviation industry, which will let users with 25-hour memberships sell their unused time to other users. Mike Winston founded Jet Token in 2018. The current funding round has no minimum raise and a maximum raise of $25,000,000. The proceeds will be used for development and expansion, marketing, and acquisition of certain business jet aircraft. Jet Token has signed a deposit agreement with Honda Aircraft Company for the lease of up to four HondaJets and has a letter of intent with Gama Aviation for the management, maintenance, and operation of the HondaJets.

 

AsomBroso

AsomBroso, an ultra-premium tequila company, is testing the waters on StartEngine through Reg A+ crowdfunding. The company makes an ultra-premium award-winning tequila that respects tradition. The tequila is prepared with care from start to finish from the blue weber agaves grown in Amatiton, Mexico. AsomBroso Tequila was founded by Ricardo Gamarra in 2002. The current crowdfunding campaign of the company has a minimum goal of $500,000 and a maximum goal of $12,000,000. The proceeds will be used to increase the marketing efforts, expand the operations, and fund the operating capital. AsomBroso Tequila is currently sold in national chain stores like Total Wine & More and Costco and has an average reorder rate of 85%. The company has been awarded top honors, including the Best of the Best and Top Tequila in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
