Perillas Food, a Korean restaurant in Somerville, MA, is raising funds on MainVest. It is a member of Foundation Kitchen, a local shared kitchen space, which allows it to prepare and cook its food. The restaurant has also signed up for many pop-ups and catered for company lunches. James Choi founded Perillas Food in June 2018. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum target of $10,000 and a maximum target of $30,000, will be used to open a space of their own using a virtual kitchen model. Perillas Food has honed its skills and built a customer base, and is ready to take orders online. The restaurant aims to create multiple concepts out of its one location, focus on quality of food, compensate the staff, and better utilize the space for the growth of the customer base.
