Retro Meadery, an upcoming meadery in Burgaw, NC, is raising crowdfunding on MainVest. The company aims to make high-quality and flavorful mead using blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, apples, peaches, and other fruit. Michael Fields founded Retro Meadery in December 2020. The proceeds of the current crowdfunding round, with a minimum raise of $80,000 and a maximum raise of $100,000, will be used for opening a location, purchasing equipment, and miscellaneous expenses. Retro Meadery also aims to give back to the community by providing a percentage of their sales to local apiaries. The company also aims to develop its own apiary and create its own environment-friendly facility for planting flowers.
